What is the origin of the bronze figures of the Sanxingdui Ruins and how to buy them?

On March 20, the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology sent exciting news. After more than six months of intensive research, exploration and excavation, archaeologists discovered six new "sacrificial pits" at the Sanxingdui site, unearthed fragments of gold masks, giant bronze masks, bronze sacred trees and ivory. This archaeological discovery enriches the value connotation of the Sanxingdui site, will help us better understand the overall picture of Sanxingdui culture, and promote greater progress in the study of Sanxingdui culture.

The Sanxingdui site is known as "one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of mankind in the 20th century". Thirty-five years ago, the first large-scale excavations revealed the mysteries of the ancient Shu Kingdom. Many exquisite bronzes have been unearthed, such as exaggerated Zongyan masks, bronze statues and Gundams known as "the king of bronze statues in the world". The 3.95-meter-high precision cast bronze sacred tree... These self-contained bronze wares have shown the imagination, art and even the soul of the ancient Shu people to generations. In addition to Zongmu masks, Sanxingdui also unearthed many artifacts related to eyes. The Eye Shaper comes in three styles: rhombus, obtuse triangle, and right triangle. A rhombus is a complete pattern. An obtuse triangle consists of upper and lower parts to form a rhombus, while a right triangle must have four parts to form a rhombus. The middle of the rhombus is just a prominent circle, and they represent the "Zongmu" of the ancient Shu people.

Eyes are an important pattern in the artistic expression of ancient Shu bronzes. Interestingly, although there are more than 20 writing styles of the word "shu" in oracle bone inscriptions, each has a large "mu" on it. The ancient Shu people in history did not leave their own words. Why in the oracle bone inscriptions of the Shang Dynasty, the eyes represent the people of Shu? Judging from the eye worship of bronze ware, the ancient Shu people at that time created a large number of images with prominent eyes and enshrined them in ancestral temples or shrines. Contemporaries of the Shang Dynasty may have seen or heard of these gods and recorded them in hieroglyphics. This may be the origin of "Shu" in oracle bone inscriptions.

The huge vertical eye patch and huge volume suggest that it is not worn on the face. It has to do with the mortise holes in both cheeks. Presumably it was assembled on a large columnar building and encapsulated high up. All four corners of the eye-shaped device are wrapped. There are small holes indicating that it was assembled in some buildings in the past. There are various indications that there is a huge ancestral temple in the ancient city of Sanxingdui, which contains precious bronzes and jades from the ancient Shu Kingdom, and is also a place where shaman priests hold important sacrifices. Human heads once had bodies, but bronze is precious. Their bodies were replaced with wood or mud and destroyed before being buried in sacrifice pits.

In Sanxingdui, the only person who has the honor of an all-copper casting is a 260-centimeter-high bronze man, which was laid flat in the sacrifice pit when unearthed, surrounded by naked-eye masks, human heads, jade and more than sixty seventy 1-meter ivory .
